Body found at footbridge

Victim was shot.

A BODY of a man with a gunshot wound to the chest was found at the Nyathi Road footbridge, near Amanzimtoti SPCA on Friday, 22 May at about 3.30pm.
“Toti SAPS responded to a complaint. The body of an unknown black man was found lying face down at the bottom of the embankment with a gunshot wound to the right upper chest. He was dressed in a grey overall tied with a black belt, white T-shirt, dark grey jacket and no shoes. He is believed to be between 25 and 30-years-old,” said Toti SAPS communications officer, Capt Charlene van der Spuy.

The police appeals to the community who can assist with information and in identifying the man.
