CCPO to amend constitution

We will meet on Friday, 9 October to vote on certain issues, which will be followed by an AGM three weeks after that.

A new Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) committee will only be voted in once the organisation’s constitution has been amended.

That’s the report back from chairman, Richard Allkins following the annual general meeting at Amanzimtoti Country Club on Friday, 18 September.

“There is one issue in the constitution regarding a proxy vote that needs to be included,” he said. “Once that is done, we will meet on Friday, 9 October to vote on certain issues, which will be followed by an AGM three weeks after that to finalise the new committee.”

At the initial AGM, the chairman expressed satisfaction with report backs, crime statistics, paperwork and finances.

“We are going forward and there were some good suggestions at the AGM for future fundraising and good information from the members,” he said.
