Car slams into N2 bridge
Motorist seriously hurt, extricated from vehicle and hospitalised

A MOTORIST has been left seriously injured after colliding with the underside of the N2 bridge along San Gabriel Road in Warner Beach this evening, 30 May.
At about 6.55pm, Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for a vehicle crash along San Gabriel Road in Warner Beach, indicating that a man was rounding a bend when he veered off the roadway and collided into the N2 bridge.
Paramedics found the man still seated in the severely damaged vehicle with serious injuries. Another man was found sitting at the side of the roadway with minor injuries. After the driver was stabilised and firefighters and medics extricated him from the vehicle, they transported him to a provincial hospital. The other patient was examined at the scene but refused any medical care or transportation to hospital.
