Culpable homicide probe follows crash

It is alleged that the driver had an accident with a truck.

A case of culpable homicide was opened at Umbumbulu police station after a 41-year-old driver died after a head-on collision with a truck on the R603 Umbumbulu road on Saturday, 8 October.

“It is alleged that the driver had an accident with a truck,” said Lt Col Zwane of the SAPS KZN media centre.

“The deceased was identified as Mduduzi Jeffrey Buthelezi (41). No arrests have made.

A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.”
