Buy a ride campaign donates another wheelchair

Warner Beach Preparatory and Athlone Park Primary School received two wheelchairs.

Two Amanzimtoti schools were the recipients of the Buy a Ride – Give Them Wheels campaign.

The rain did not dampen spirits as Warner Beach Preparatory and Athlone Park Primary School received two wheelchairs at a handover ceremony on Saturday, 10 December.

“As a result of inclusive education, schools are now taking in children with ailments, injuries and walking problems,” said Warner Beach Preparatory principal, Kevin Maiden. “The wheelchair will assist us to a great extent in getting them around school.”

Since the campaign’s inception in May 2015, Mark White Nissan Amanzimtoti has handed over 21 wheelchairs.

“Thaliyah Pillay, who has brittle bone disease, is the lucky little girl who will have use of the wheelchair during school times at Athlone Park Primary,” said marketing manager, Carol Mathews. “We are so happy that she will have her own chair at school from next year.

Thanks to all our clients who have purchased from us or referred clients to us, because it is with the sales of the vehicles that we can run this campaign.”
