Five in hospital after car collides with traffic lights

Car’s twisted frame came to a rest on the grass verge of the N2 off-ramp

A crash at the N2’s Doonside off-ramp on Sunday night, 1 January left five people injured.

Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the crash site, where a vehicle with five occupants lost control and collided with the traffic lights, its twisted frame coming to rest on the grass verge.

Paramedics treated five people who had sustained moderate injuries. They were transported to hospital for further care.
