A pedestrian in Mason Road was robbed of a cellphone by four armed men on Wednesday, 15 February.
“It is alleged that at about 12.20pm the victim was walking along Mason Road when he was accosted by four unknown men,” said Amanzimtoti SAPS communication officer, Captain Charlene van der Spuy.
One of the men held a knife to the victim’s neck and another pointed a firearm at him while the rest went through his pockets.
They took his cellphone valued at R800 and fled the scene.
A case of robbery is being investigated by Amanzimtoti detectives.
