SPCA inspires love of pets in pupils

Warner Beach Preparatory's junior campus were empowered with knowledge about their furry friends

PUPILS of Warner Beach Preparatory’s junior campus were visited by Toti SPCA’s Michelle Hannan on Thursday, 9 March, where the little tots were empowered with more knowledge about their furry friends.

The Warner Beach school has been collecting everything from animal food to toys in the hope of easing the financial burden faced by their local SPCA.

Animal enthusiast and avid cat lover, Michelle sparked an interest in the youngsters by explaining nearly everything one needs to know when owning or making the brave decision to own a pet. How to love your furry friend correctly, keeping in mind its needs as it is unable to voice them to you, nutrition and responsibilities of its life and the importance of the SPCA and all the good work it does, were some of the many vital topics covered. Educating the youth by instilling in them a love for animals, is one of the most effective means to combat animal cruelty.
