‘I have to find my daughter’: Terricia’s mother heads to Nepal
Terricia Govender's mother has received confirmation that her daughter was in the Gyirong immigration office in Tibet when floods hit.
LINDA Govender of Isipingo Beach, the mother of Terricia Govender, who has been missing since flash floods struck Nepal and Tibet on August 27 while she was on a pilgrimage, is travelling to Nepal today (September 3) to help look for her daughter.

During a recent media update, Linda said she has received confirmation from the Isha Foundation, which provided the guided religious tour to Mt Kailash, that Terricia was inside the Gyirong immigration office when the floods hit. The immigration office was washed away.
Although she was travelling alone, Terricia was part of a tour group that included five other South Africans and six other international pilgrims. The group has not been accounted for.
Linda said she needed to be with those searching for her daughter. “I am leaving along with my brother and Terricia’s friend. I have to be there and help find my daughter; it has been too long now,” said Linda.
Terricia, who turned 33 on August 20, left SA on August 12 and was due back on August 28.
