Warner Beach Prep swim squad makes waves

Special mention must be made of Aiden van Heerden who broke two records and won the under 10 age group.

ASIDE from the ‘big swim’ which took place at Warner Beach Preparatory, the swimming squad had a busy week attending two galas – the Durban and Districts as well as the Creston College inter-schools gala last week.

Participating among nine schools at the Durban and Districts gala, the Warner Beach boys came in a creditable third overall.

Among the Creston College inter-schools gala’s six participating schools, including South City, Izotsha Primary, Creston, Suid Natal Primary and Port Edward, the Warner Beach Prep squad of boys and girls were the overall winners.

A justifiably proud Warner Beach Prep sports director and Seagull swimming coach, Luke Isemonger said the Warners’ squad had made some serious waves at the Creston College gala by securing a consistent top three placing in all its events.

Special mention must be made of Aiden van Heerden who broke two records and won the under 10 age group.
