Weather report: Snowfall predicted for Drakensberg
Heavy snow is likely to fall in the afternoon and into the evening in Drakensberg.
The heavy snowfall predicted for KZN this week has not materialised, except for the high peaks of the Drakensberg.
“We could see some snow pushing into the Midlands in the Dargle/Impendle area on the high ground during Thursday afternoon (4 October) but at this stage, it is expected to be quite light, and confined to the high ground,” said the Snow Report SA website.
Heavy snow is likely to fall in the afternoon and into the evening in Drakensberg, mainly focused on the southern and central berg, with some moderate falls over the northern Drakensberg. These afternoon falls are expected to stretch quite far west into Lesotho, as far as Katse, Tsaba-Tseka, Mashai and Lebakeng, and stretch as far north as AfriSki.
