Maths boff adds multiple medals in ORCA challenge

Khadija Thayab entered the maths challenge organised by Organisation for Child Advancement (ORCA) and achieved outstanding results

KAMALINEE Primary School grade five pupil Khadija Thayab entered the maths challenge organised by Organisation for Child Advancement (ORCA) and achieved outstanding results.

Pupils were tutored in advance mathematics and had to write a test on problem solving skills. Khadija achieved success with flying colours, raking in top results in the grade five (gold medal) and six (gold medal) categories. She also achieved silver in the grade seven category.

In addition, Khadija placed overall third in the grades five and six categories. Khadija paid homage to all her mathematics teachers who have tutored her, which helped ensure these outstanding results. This is not the first time she has achieved excellent results in the ORCA Challenge. In 2017 she achieved gold in grade five and grade six and placed overall first.
