Joanne of The Elders’ Voice receives Lions’ Citizen of the Year award

Part of the award included the Lion making a whopping donation of R5 000 to The Elders' Voice.

THE Elders’ Voice founder and CEO, Joanne Herbst received the Amanzimtoti Lions’ Citizen of the Year award at the organisation’s induction dinner, on Saturday, 1 June.

Invited to the induction dinner, Joanne had no idea of what she’d be receiving, but beamed while explaining how much this award means to her.

“I didn’t have a full understanding of all the greatness that the Lions do in our community. They truly do so much good for so many,” said Joanne.

She explained that the Lions have assisted The Elders’ Voice with donations of glasses, hearing aids and monthly meat packs.

“The Toti Lions have been so good to us. I definitely see us working together in the future,” she said.
