On Sunday, 1 September, there will be a Picardy Bazooka Denis Couzens memorial fun bowls day at 8.30am

Several honours board competition finals were played this week at Toti Bowling Club.

On Saturday, 24 August, Nicky Stirzaker and Jackie Holdrick won the final of the drawn pairs against Julie Sutherland and Jane Coetzee, and Greg McLeod and Barry Bush overcame Ian Crouch and Alec Stirzaker to emerge nominated pairs champions.

On Sunday, 1 September, there will be a Picardy Bazooka Denis Couzens memorial fun bowls day at 8.30am. The format will be mixed drawn trips or fours and non-bowlers are welcome. Dress code is mufti or civvies and flat shoes. The cost is R35, which includes hot dogs. At TGIF, Heather Cooper won the 100 board. Social member Christine Jankowitz was not in attendance, therefore the members’ draw next week will be worth R200. The damagers were unlucky in the key draw; the lucky key next week will be worth R3 440. The next burgers and bowls event takes place on Thursday, 5 September at 5pm. All are welcome.
Lots of members have birthdays this week, so good wishes to Dennis Hughes, Jaylene Fagan, Ernst Ubleis, Martin Birch, Liz Rheeder, Steve Woor, Shane Wilkinson and Tokkie de Kock. Diarise the AGM and prize-giving from noon on Saturday, 7 September.
