Relatives of deceased man sought by Mid Illovo police
The man was hit by a vehicle on the R603 Road in Eston near the Caltex garage on 5 June, 2018 and died.
Mid Illovo police are searching for the relatives of an unknown man who was hit by a vehicle on the R603 Road in Eston near the Caltex garage on 5 June, 2018 and died.
The man is believed to have been in his 40s.
Provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said, “It is alleged that the deceased was a mentally ill patient who used to call himself Siyabonga Nxumalo of the Dambuza area in Pietermaritzburg. A case of culpable homicide was opened at Mid Illovo police station for investigation.”
Police urge anyone who can assist in identifying him or may know of his relatives to contact D/ Sgt Sithole on 031 781-1710 or 082-689-7443. Alternately call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
