There is still a lot more training to be done as there are two more major galas as well as two time trial galas before December
Titans Swimming Club had their six junior swimmers (13 and under) racing at the KZN junior championships at Kings Park pool on Saturday and Sunday, 12 and 13 October.
The boys made a remarkable total of 19 finals and 26 personal bests between them, with the two new level swimmers making five top 10 placings between them.
The star of the day was Tristan Swart, swimming in the 11-year-old age group.
He placed second in the 100m butterfly finals to win a silver medal with a new personal best time.
Titans Swimming Club now boasts five level three swimmers as well as a SANJ swimmer; Matthew Maree, 13, Reece Jones, 12, Tristan Swart, 11, Tristan Janse van Rensburg, 11, Nicholas Nel, 16, and Jaden Steenkamp, 17 – SANJ. They will all compete at the premier championships in the December holidays at Kings Park.
