It was a sad day for the learners of Edu Paw who discovered that classes have been cancelled, however, founder of the organisation remains committed to feeding the dogs of the learners. Founder of Edu Paw, Cathy Keegan said,

“Before the start of lockdown, we had 10 learners registered. We, unfortunately, had to let them know that classes have been cancelled. We are really saddened by this because those learners were highly committed to educating themselves.  However, for the safety of our volunteers and the children, we had to cancel. I have been in contact with all our classes to check that the children are safe and to let them know that there is dog food available at the SPCA for them.”

While Cathy cannot be at the SPCA due to the lockdown, staff is assisting to make sure the hungry bellies are fed.

“Most of the learners don’t have social media or data so we are unable to conduct online classes. We really do miss seeing them , their dogs and the volunteers.  Thanks to a generous donation, we were also able to provide our volunteers with a food voucher. Our biggest concern is that dogs will go hungry during this time and we are trying our best to help our learners however we can. We are extremely thankful to everyone who is assisting us during this time. And while we know times are hard for everyone, but if you spare a small donation to purchase more dog food, it would be wonderful,” she added.
