Amanzimtoti Main Beach receives welcomed facelift
The welcomed face-lift is received from Durban Tourism and will stand tall and proud in place of the recently erected photo frame.
A stunning bright orange photo frame will make its way to Amanzimtoti Main Beach just in time to welcome visitors from far and wide. The welcomed face-lift is received from Durban Tourism and will stand tall and proud in place of the recently erected photo frame. The installation of the frame began on Monday, 16 November.
“The purpose of the picture frame is to act as a tourist attraction for both locals and visitors,” said Mrak Ramtharan of Broco Projects, who is a service provider for eThekwini Municipality. “The frame is 3m x 5m and will be installed by the end of November. However, this is weather dependent.”
The little photo frame will be re-homed to the beach activation area. It will also be branded soon.
“Thanks to Durban Tourism for the photo frame. We certainly hope it attracts more tourists,” said Sapphire Coast Tourism’s Romy Wenzel. A competition was held to find creative design suggestions to brand the little photo frame and the winner will be announced soon. “Thank you to every one who entered the competition.”
The Winklespruit map board will also be refurbished within coming weeks as well. The update will feature existing and new members of the community tourism organisation.
