Amanzimtoti Rotary Club donates wheelchair to Jona Vaughan Home

They donate a brand new one with money collected from the women golfers.

The Rotary Club of Amanzimtoti started the new year on a giving note with the donation a set of new ‘wheels’ to Jona Vaughan Home.

Aneska Du Pont, a past president, heard the plea that a resident desperately needed a wheelchair. She mentioned it to Sue Daniels of Toti Golf Club and together they were able to purchase and donate a brand new one with money collected from the women golfers.

“This will make the life of the staff and resident so much easier and less painful when we move her around,” said Gretta Hlongwa, the senior supervisor at Jona Vaughan Home. “We will be able to take the patient outside into the garden and even into the pool for exercise. Thank you to all who contributed to this wonderful gift.”
