Traffic officer succumbs to injuries following N2 accident

Netcare 911 responded to the accident and the traffic officer had to be airlifted to hospital.

A traffic officer succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle on the N2, near the Prospecton Road off-ramp, on Sunday, 16 May. Netcare 911 responded to the accident and the traffic officer had to be airlifted for treatment.

Reports indicate that a traffic officer was struck by a motor vehicle. The patient sustained critical injuries and was treated on scene by Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioners.  Due to the serious nature of the patient’s injuries, a Netcare 911 helicopter was activated to airlift the officer to a specialist facility,” said the organisation’s media liaison, Shawn Herbst.
