Meagen Matthew (16) released the pop/rock album and is excited about the musical journey she is about to embark on.

“I have been singing for as long as I can remember and was part of the choir at Amanzimtoti Primary School. The first instrument I learned to play was the keyboard when I was 12, and then the ukulele,” said Meagen.

When she turned 13, her brother, Jordan, suggested that she play guitar as well. “He kind of pestered me until I picked up the guitar and started to learn,” said the talented teen.

Jordan also played a big part in the process of putting the album together and he contributed to the vocals as well. Meagen said that having Jordan’s support made all the difference throughout the album’s production. He will also join her on stage when she performs live.

She dreams of working with international artists, Avril Lavigne and Paramore.

When she is not busy with music, Meagen concentrates on her studies and is currently busy pursuing a general education diploma through homeschooling. In her spare time she enjoys crocheting, painting, drawing, and special effects.

She thanked VCA Records and her fans and followers on social media for their continued support.

Meagen can be found on Facebook and Instagram at @Matthew.Megs, as well as on TikTok.

Open Eyes is available on CD as well as on all streaming platforms.
