ET Rapid Response’s Tony Lokker, said after information about the vehicle was circulated on the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CPO) Amanzimtoti’s network, it was spotted and intercepted.

“Umkomaas SAPS Task Team members searched the vehicle and found several cellphones concealed behind the cubby hole. While they were busy at the scene, members established that the suspects had just robbed a woman. The victim was located and she opened a case against the suspects at Amanzimtoti SAPS,” said Lokker.

The men are suspected of luring women into their vehicle by promising them a job, and once she is in the vehicle, the suspects would then rob them. All three were detained at the Amanzimtoti SAPS station.
