The children’s home has not been able to do maintenance on their 11 houses for about four years, due to lack of finances being a public benefit organisation (PBO) which relies on donations and sponsors.

“We are raising funds for our renovation project set for Mandela Day. Our target is R20 000, and we are half way there, in order to renovate the children’s homes because right now they are falling apart. So far Frogfoot has sponsored one of the 11 homes by prepping and painting it, Pam Golding may be sponsoring three and Ainsworth Attorneys the fifth home,” said Mother of Peace project manager, Michael Denton-Cooke.

Pam Golding Properties managing director, Jacques van Schalkwyk said, “We are dedicating our 67 minutes to Mother of Peace-Illovo, a truly deserving organisation.”
