Dumping not allowed at Civic Road anymore

The Seadoone and Nyati Road garden refuse sites are open to the public to dump waste.

THE public has been warned to no longer dump refuse at the temporary dumpsite at Civic Road in Amanzimtoti as refuse sites have opened to clear the backlog.

Ward 97 councillor André Beege said the Seadoone garden refuse site is open, and the backlog clearing is scheduled to be completed by April 5.

The Nyati Road garden refuse site is scheduled to open to receive garden refuse from March 25, with backlog clearing scheduled to be completed by April 11.

“The old circus site along Civic Road is closed to dumping. We await confirmation of the clearing schedule,” said Beetge.
