JUST IN: Illovo cop shoots wife, son and self

The motive for the shooting is unknown and will be subject to police investigation.

A 45-YEAR-old Durban Metro police officer has allegedly shot and killed his wife (40) before turning the gun on himself at their home in Illovo this morning (April 15).

Their 19-year-old son was also shot but is recovering in hospital. The officer died at the scene. The motive is unknown at this stage and will be subject to police investigation.
