Those who are not going to be at home on May 29, those who are working as part of the security forces, for the IEC or are deployed or assisting political parties on election day, can apply to vote at their registered voting station on either May 27 or 28.

Ward 97 councillor André Beetge said, “It need be noted that those who are not registered within the boundary of their correct voting station cannot apply for a home visit but may apply to vote on the two days preceding the 29th.”

He said that those who are away from their registered voting station and who want to vote at the closest voting station where they will be on May 29, can apply for an out-of-district vote. Applications for special votes close on May 3.

Applications can be done online using the IEC portal at https://www.elections.org.za/pw/, or forms can be obtained from Councillor André Beetge on 082 718 8137.
