Voting underway in Amanzimtoti

Although there were some hiccups to the start of the voting process, residents queued at the Amanzimtoti Civic Centre to make their mark.

EVEN though the voting process had a glitchy start on the morning of Election Day, voters came out in numbers to exercise their right at the Amanzimtoti Civic Centre.

Ward 97 councillor Andrè Beetge said some problems experienced included the Independent Electoral Commission’s (IEC) network being offline and ballot papers arriving late. He asked voters to be patient as the IEC officials were conducting the process manually.

Voters have until 21:00 this evening (May 29) to make their way to the voting station they registered to vote in to make their mark.
