Ilze (33) was diagnosed with Stage 2 cancer in 2017 and courageously fought the disease with the support of her family, friends, and community right until the end.
It had been Ilze’s dream to be Mrs Botha and she mustered enough strength to walk down the aisle on October 12. In a social media post, Kyle announced his wife’s passing and said Ilze embodied the true calling of a Christian.
“We know she is now resting in God’s embrace. Her faith, kindness, and joy left a legacy that will remain with us forever. May we all strive to live a life as full of grace and purpose as Ilze did and may we keep her legacy alive in our hearts and actions,” said Kyle.
Funeral details will be shared once made public.
