These beaches are open for swimming in Amanzimtoti
One or two Amanzimtoti beaches are closed for swimming today. The rest are safe, according to the South bathing beach report.
WITH tourists still enjoying the wonderful weather this town has to offer, councillor Andre Beetge, provided an update on where to swim.
South bathing beach report
Pipeline – Pool being cleaned, parking and beach cleaned, open for bathing.
Amanzimtoti main – Pool closed, parking and beach clean, open for bathing.
Doonside – Parking and beach clean, sewage smell detected upstream, team investigating source, progress report requested at 12:00, open for bathing subject to beach management observation reports.

Winklespruit – Closed for swimming.
Kingsway2 pump station near Subway found vandalised, cables, transducer and float switches stolen (technician detailed, update requested at 12:00), open for bathing subsequent to beach management observation reports.
Umgababa – Field and beach clean, open for bathing.
