Hearts of Toti makes a ‘splash’

It was an evening of fun, as Splash Waterworld hosted a night riding fundraiser for local NPO, Hearts of Toti on Valentine's Day.

HEARTS of Toti and Splash Waterworld partnered for an exciting, wet and wild Valentine’s Day, opening up the water park to a fun-filled fundraiser, which saw a great deal of support from the community, which relished the ‘night riding’ experience.

Registered non-profit organisation, Hearts of Toti, works with families suffering dire financial straits. According to co-founder, Alta Erasmus, the organisation currently provides aid to between 50 and 80 families monthly, with the need growing day by day.

“Getting donations in is very difficult. We’re really struggling. I think everybody in the community is basically battling. So Splash Waterworld organised this for us. We will get part of the income that is generated through this fundraiser. We had a very good turnout today. Immortal Guardians, the biker club, came through and they supported us. We had friends, we had family. It was Valentine’s Day, so everybody was in a very loving mood. I’ve been going up and down the slides. It’s really been a fun day,” said Erasmus.
