With the help of Professor Elain Vlok, Clover manager, Mama Afrikas including Gambo were making outdoor mosaic furniture and excelling at it, through one of the many courses for the Clover Mama Afrika Trust.

“As I am learning and developing this skill and artistry, I decided to share the knowledge I gained in my training with young and developing minds starting at my centre, House-Kids Educare Centre. I then added a new mural and have made learning a fun activity by teaching the children in my centre mosaic art. My aim is to help them explore by putting their imagination and creative side to use. I kept in mind that not every learner is striving in their academic work and some love working with their hands and with this new skill, they will grow up knowing that if they do not succeed in academics they can consider working with their hands for a living and create great and beautiful things,” says Gambo.

She started her centre 15 years ago when she was part of a church community project and saw far too many children under the age of four who were left unattended.
