“The elusive suspect evaded arrest since December last year and was wanted in connection with two robbery cases committed in the Folweni area. Officers intercepted the suspect while driving and recovered the firearm allegedly used during the robberies,” said Colonel Victor Zungu, spokesperson for the Durban Metro Police.

The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to dismantle robbery syndicates and bring long-standing suspects to justice.

“We commend all involved units for their co-ordination and swift action,” said Zungu.
