Vehicle recovered after Amanzimtoti home invasion

Two vehicles and several household items were stolen during a home invasion on San Raphael Avenue, Amanzimtoti.

TWO cars were stolen along with a firearm and various household belongings in a home invasion on San Raphael Avenue, St Winifreds, in the early hours of this morning (August 25).

According to Blue Security, its tactical unit received a report of a home invasion at 04:00. The unit proceeded to Umlazi to check hotspots and one of the vehicles, a Mercedes-Benz, was found crashed at the corner of the M35 and Izimbokodo Road in Umlazi Y-section. Along with the vehicle, a cellphone and laptop were recovered in the car.

The complainant arrived on the scene and thereafter went to the Bhekithemba police station to identify her belongings.
