For this week's walk with the SUN, South Coast Sun journalist, Nikhil Gopichand, learns more about Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare.
OF THE several Amanzimtoti non-profit organisations, one has truly stood the test of time. That is Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare, which will have been in operation for 80 years next month. This week, I took the short trip to 2 Hall Road, Warner Beach, to learn more about Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare.

Events coming up for KCFW
- For the NPO’s 80th birthday on November 29, it will hold an open day at its offices at 2 Hall Road, Warner Beach, so that the community can see first-hand what welfare is all about, and it will make for the perfect opportunity should you wish to donate clothing or support the thrift shop.
- On December 5, KCFW will hold a self-defence and kick-boxing programme as it observes 16 Days of Activism. The organisation hopes that participants will learn valuable skills necessary to protect themselves and their loved ones should the need arise.
