South Coast beach water quality update

Officials will continue to monitor water quality and environmental conditions, updates will be communicated as assessments are completed.

AN updated report on bathing beach water quality has been issued for South Coast beaches, with several areas open while others remain closed in the interest of public safety.

Ward 97 councillor, André Beetge, urged members of the public to take note of the current beach status and adhere to all safety advisories issued by authorities.

Beach Status:

  • Isipingo Beach: Closed for bathing

  • Pipeline Beach: Open for bathing

  • Amanzimtoti Main Beach: Open for bathing

  • Doonside Beach: Closed for bathing

  • Winklespruit Beach: Open for bathing

  • Umgababa Beach: Closed for bathing
