Where to buy prepaid electricity while vending system is still offline

Isipingo and Queensburgh Customer Services Centres are among the places customers can purchase electricity tokens from.

ETHEKWINI Municipality said it is working around the clock to resolve the technical interruption affecting third-party prepaid electricity vending since September 6.

This has left customers unable to purchase prepaid electricity tokens via banking apps, retail outlets, or third-party mobile vending platforms.

eThekwini spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila said that while the work to bring the external prepaid electricity vending system back online continues, customers are advised to purchase their prepaid electricity tokens from the following electricity customer service centres:

  • Kingsburgh Sizakala Centre – 11 Gracedale / Mayors Mews Road, Winklespruit
  • Isipingo Customer Services Centre – 3 Police Station Road, Isipingo
  • Electricity Headquarters 1 Jelf Taylor Crescent (Rotunda)
  • Queensburgh Customer Services Centre – 3 Rycroft Road (off Main Road), Queensburgh (Metro Police)
