De Jager has just had a brief discussion with his legal team.

It is understood that he has opted for private representation. The case is still to proceed as his attorney is currently in the magistrate’s chamber, meeting with Magistrate Zama Nyuswa who will be hearing De Jager’s bail application.

De Jager was arrested in Bloemfontein on November 24, for the October 2021 murder of NG Kerk-Suidkus pastor, Liezel de Jager, who was strangled to death at her home.
