Update: Missing Doon Heights man found

Jan Els, who was reported missing yesterday (November 19), in what was presumed to be a suicide attempt, was found on the same day.

THE Amanzimtoti Community Police Forum has confirmed that Jan Els who was reported missing by his family on November 19 was found safe on the same day.

Els (59) left his Doon Heights home around 07:00, and his family assumed he had gone to work. It was only after 12:00 that they noticed that his car was still in the garage. All his other belongings, including bank cards and keys, were found at home, along with a letter in which he implied he was going to cause harm to himself.

Details of where and how he was found have not been shared with the public.
