Carols, Christmas fun, and community support at Amanzimtoti

Pack a picnic basket and take along the family for a joyful evening of Christmas carols, while supporting the SPCA and Jona Vaughan.

FAMILIES and friends are invited to celebrate the festive season by donning their Christmas accessories, bringing along camping chairs or picnic blankets, and lighting candles to join the community for a joyful evening of Christmas carols on December 8.

The event will be held at Amanzimtoti High School’s sports field starting at 18:00, and will also serve as a benefit evening for SPCA Amanzimtoti and Jona Vaughan.

Event organiser Carol Collinshead announced that entry is free, but a donation box for pet food will be available for the SPCA. The community is also encouraged to bring items for Jona Vaughan, such as non-perishable food, toiletries, toilet paper, laundry powder, and cleaning products.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and get into the Christmas spirit while supporting two very worthwhile causes,” said Collinshead.
The Amanzimtoti Lions will be selling Christmas trees and cakes, and there will be food and drinks for sale, with proceeds going toward supporting the Amanzimtoti rugby players. Be sure to bring some cash and enjoy the evening with family and friends after the carols.

Parking will be available on the field, and a QR code will be shared for accessing the carols to be sung.
