Santa Shoebox Project’s pledging opens in Amanzimtoti
Santa shoeboxes are personalised gifts of essential items and treats collected and distributed by the Santa Shoebox Project.
FROM September 1, households, individuals, and businesses will be able to go online and choose a child for whom to pack a shoebox of essentials and treats. This annual campaign is done to bring joy to the faces of underprivileged children.

Amanzimtoti’s coordinator for the campaign, Mandy Bowles, said Santa shoeboxes are personalised gifts of essential items and treats collected and distributed by the Santa Shoebox Project.

“This year our focus is on ensuring that the beneficiary children have the stationery they require to start their new year of school with confidence,” said Mandy.
Santa shoeboxes can be dropped off on October 31 and November 2. For more information on where to make the drop-off, Mandy can be contacted on 082 327 4273. The project’s website is www.santashoebox.org.za.
What to pack in the box?
It all should be brand new and age-appropriate:
• A facecloth and soap
• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Stationery, including
• Playdough Puzzles
• A toy
• Some sweets
• Clothing
