South Coast bathing beaches: Open and closed update

Bathing is currently permitted at Isipingo, Pipeline, Amanzimtoti Main and Doonside beaches, however, officials will monitor water quality.

BATHING has been approved at Doonside Beach from today, December 23, after water visibility showed significant improvement.

This is according to councillor André Beetge, who said visibility at Winklespruit, Karridene and Umgababa beaches has not yet improved to levels considered safe for bathing, and these beaches remain closed.

Bathing is currently permitted at Isipingo, Pipeline, Amanzimtoti Main and Doonside beaches.

Officials will continue to closely monitor sea conditions and provide updates regarding water visibility at Winklespruit, Karridene and Umgababa.
