Toti Main Beach closed for bathing

"We are hoping for a positive outcome once further tests have been conducted at around noon today," Beetge said.

AMANZIMTOTI Main Beach is closed for bathing.

This is according to Ward 97 councillor André Beetge, who confirmed that Pipeline and Doonside beaches remain closed due to high E. coli levels in the water.

“Isipingo, Winklespruit and Umgababa beaches are also currently open for bathing,” Beetge said.

He added that a status update will be done once the latest results are received this morning.

“We are hoping for a positive outcome once further tests have been conducted at around noon today,” he said.
