Joint operation nets suspects in Isipingo

A total of 12 suspects were arrested during the operation, including the director of a private security company.

THE Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) and the police carried out a joint law enforcement operation in Isipingo on January 22, resulting in multiple arrests and the seizure of illicit substances.

A total of 12 suspects were arrested during the operation, including the director of a private security company. Fifteen criminal cases were opened, while four additional dockets relating to alleged violations of the PSIRA Code of Conduct are expected to be registered.

Among those arrested was a Malawian national and 10 South African citizens. Authorities said further investigations are underway following the operation.
