Obituary: Leone Anne Harte

In the community, she was greatly loved, having worked at Warner Beach Junior Primary School for more than 25 years.

LEONE Anne Harte (neé Cross) sadly passed away on February 10. Born to parents Alice and Jack Cross on April 11, 1948, her early childhood and teenage years were spent in the Eastern Transvaal, and she moved to Amanzimtoti after she qualified as a teacher.

In the community she was greatly loved, having worked at Warner Beach Junior Primary School for more than 25 years, interacting with countless learners and parents throughout her career. Known for her infectious laugh and her great sense of humour, she will be sorely missed. She is survived by her husband Mike, son Brendan, and granddaughter Tess.

A full requiem mass will be held at the Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Amanzimtoti on February 25 at 11:00.
