Masquerade fundraiser set to support Amanzimtoti veteran

The Hearts for Healing fundraiser aims to support an Amanzimtoti man get a prosthesis which will enable him to regain his independence.

GLITZ, glam, fashion and fundraising await the Amanzimtoti community as part of the Hearts for Healing masquerade evening in support of Amanzimtoti veteran, Craig Merredew.

A life-changing fall while on the job as a technician led to his left leg having to be amputated. For the last several months, Craig has undergone critical wound care necessary for him to get a prosthetic leg.

His disability has put severe financial strain on his family and Craig hopes to eventually be able to contribute again and regain his independence.

The unique and exciting fundraising event is slated for June 20 at the Mills Bomb Shellhole at 1 Ellcock Road, Warner Beach, at 18:00. It is R220 per person and R400 per couple and all proceeds go towards vital medical care, wound treatment and essential support for Craig.

Each ticket includes a delicious sit-down meal and the full event experience, which features live music and entertainment, exciting raffles and prizes, and the main event, a best mask and best dressed competition.
