The meeting saw residents and members reflect on five years of service to the community and review progress.

Merlene Matthew, chairperson of the Amanzimtoti CPF (ACPF), said the meeting provided an overview of the ACPF and its role in community safety.

“The outgoing committee presented reports covering the past five years, including the treasury report and patrol report, highlighting the work and commitment of the sub-forum,” said Matthew.

Constable Odwa Mcasa, police CPF co-ordinator, addressed the community on the importance of working together with police and encouraged residents to be the eyes and ears of their neighbourhoods, report relevant information, and ensure that community concerns are channelled through the CPF to strengthen communication and cooperation.

The election was conducted by Matthew, who announced the new committee members.
