Kuswag Skool tops the circuit with a 100% matric pass rate

Umlazi district, under which Amanzimtoti falls, ranked seventh nationally, and third in the province, with an average pass rate of 91.98%.

SEVERAL schools in the Umlazi District, under which Amanzimtoti and the surrounds fall, achieved a 100% pass rate in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations, proving that hard work always pays handsomely.

The matric results were released today (January 13), and many learners were camped at filling stations, waiting for the newspaper to arrive so they could finally see whether they passed or not.

The 88% national pass rate is the highest in the country’s history, and for the first time, KwaZulu-Natal is the best-performing province nationally, with a pass rate of 90.6%. Umlazi district ranked seventh nationally, and third in the province, with an average pass rate of 91.98%.

• Sidelile High School – 98.5%
• Adams College – 97.2%
• Mnganiwakhe – 95.7%
• Kingsway High School – 91.6%
• Mcothoyi High School – 91.5%
• Umkomaas High School – 83.3%
• Esizibeni High School – 81.6%
