Chest tickle raises concern over burning

Has anyone else noticed this and is there possibly an increase in chest infections in the area, or is it just me?

EDITOR – Most days at around 5pm, there is a pervading smell of burning which causes my chest to tickle.

I live in Warner Beach and have noticed this for several years.

When I investigate, there is no evidence of braai fires in the area. Is the sugar mill responsible for this potential, if not actual, health hazard? If not the sugar mill, can this be traced?

Has anyone else noticed this and is there possibly an increase in chest infections in the area, or is it just me?

This year I have suffered several relapses of what was diagnosed as asthmatic bronchitis by my doctor. It is not a joke having to close one’s windows for a few hours during summer.
