EDITOR – The Proteas proved what chokers they are when they lost their semi-final Cricket World Cup encounter against New Zealand’s Black Caps.
They sank to new depths with their lacklustre performance but perhaps the blame should be laid on the patriotic #ProteaFire Twitter handle. They certainly crashed and burned, taking SA’s ardent patriotic hopes with them. The team should be placed on terms, the only exception being captain AB de Villiers whose consistent form and stylish leadership set him apart from an otherwise schoolboy crowd of cricket-wannabes.
