Council must remedy library aircon woes

The heat was unbearable and we could not wait to get out of there.

EDITOR – On Tuesday, 2 February my husband and I went to Amanzimtoti library and were appalled at the conditions the staff have to work in.

Air conditioners have been broken for the last six months and no ceiling fans, just a pedestal fan which did absolutely nothing.

The heat was unbearable and we could not wait to get out of there. It is shocking that the council cannot get the airconditioner repaired. We signed the complaints book and all the patrons had commented on the same thing – the intense heat. This state of affairs must not go on any longer and something should be done ASAP.
